In addition, MUSIAD aims to continue its cooperation with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education on various issues related to vocational high schools and to organize meetings that bring students together with the leaders of the sector every week as much as possible. In addition, MUSIAD takes it as a mission to lead other sector boards and other non-governmental organizations operating within the institution to open similar schools.In addition to the Provincial Directorate of National Education, MUSIAD also works with the industry’s leading non-governmental organizations such as the United Brands Association (BMD) and the Durable Goods and White Goods Retailers Association (BEYPER). The managers of these non-governmental organizations come together from time to time and exchange ideas. Project implementation classes are being prepared in the shopping mall concept by companies such as Armine, Gencallar and Karaca Züccaciye.Goals:• As MUSIAD, to be a pioneer in the high quality education that Turkey needs• Raising values that are necessary and sought after for the business world• To provide quality education that can be an alternative to university• To ensure that the education conditions are always at the contemporary level• To enable MUSIAD to set an example for other non-governmental organizations and various institutions, to inspireToday, with the developing technology, developments and innovations occur in various professions. In addition to the necessity of an integrated education system with technological developments, the increase in the need for quality workforce has made vocational and technical education compulsory today. Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education has also implemented a project related to this issue.Project Employment OrientedWithin the framework of the “Thematic Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools” project implemented by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, meetings were held with various institutions and organizations such as the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association. After these meetings, it was determined that there was a need for brand schools specialized in a single field. After the meetings with the sector representatives, the framework of the project was determined and it was possible to open a thematic vocational high school for a single sector. 18 thematic high schools, 7 of which are in Istanbul, were opened to provide education in this way throughout Turkey.With this project, it is ensured that both schools have access to information and technology and that sector representatives share their experiences in these high schools. In addition, students who graduate from these high schools, which have close relations with the sectors, are provided with employment opportunities. This project, which is an employment-oriented study, also lays the groundwork for the sectors to create infrastructure in terms of human resources.In addition to its work for the students of the Retail and Marketing Department, MUSIAD also supported the School Industry Collaboration Model project of Serkan Gür, Deputy Director of Istanbul Provincial National Education. Afterwards, MUSIAD decided to take part in this study after Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Ömer Faruk Yelkenci developed the School-Industry Cooperation Model with the Thematic High School Project, considering the importance of vocational high schools in the development of Turkey. Thus, MUSIAD signed a protocol with the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. With this protocol, Bağlarbaşı Retail Marketing Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School was transferred to MUSIAD.
