MÜSİAD, which has signed many projects on behalf of the development and development of Turkey, has implemented the Furniture and Design Department of Kartal District Atalar Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School within the scope of the “protective school” project. MUSIAD, which has signed many projects for the development and development of Turkey, has accelerated the creation of thematic high schools in order to meet the “qualified intermediate staff” need of the business world. As part of the “protective school” project, MUSIAD launched the Furniture and Design Department of Kartal District Atalar Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School on February 02, 2019.Atalar Vocational Technical Anatolian High School MUSIAD Furniture and Design Department was made ready after 6 months of intense work. The main purpose here is to increase the trained manpower, which is the most important problem of the furniture industry, and to meet the industry’s need for qualified intermediate staff. In this context, within the scope of our work, first of all, the most equipped school in Istanbul in furniture and design was determined. Afterwards, the road map and curriculum were determined in the workshops organized with the contributions of the school principal and valuable teachers. Later, with the support of the leading NGOs of our country such as the Furniture Federation and ITO, the Furniture and Design Department was redesigned based on the modern conditions required by the era. In our department, everything from the supply of raw materials to the clothes that the students will wear is provided down to the last detail in order to enable our students to develop and become professional in their fields. In addition, the first 3 students who are successful and ranked are taken to Milan Fair, the biggest fair of the sector, to increase their professional qualifications. In addition, students are provided with internship opportunities in MUSIAD member companies, helping them to be employed more easily in the future.
